Facility Management and Space Management Services: CAD and CAFM drawings

CAD/CAFM drawings and data reporting for collaborative facilitiy management and space management services

Builders, realtors, architects, and developers usually dream of a building on prime land where their creation would not only become a landmark but also become envy to their rivals. It is only upon the completion of this dream that the problem of plenty starts. Suddenly there are far too many spaces to be maintained, managed or to be rented, leased or sold out. Not to mention the documentation of these spaces.

This is where we come in to help our customers to document their spaces with digitally drawn drawings and reports displayed side by side. What about maintenance of all the facilities of this huge marvel where the areas are in excess of thousands of square feet? Just imagine telling your plumber to go and replace a medical gas valve, in a hospital, where it is located on the fourth floor and supplies medical gas to four or five patient rooms. Armed with an unmanageable copy of E size hand copy, your plumber sets out to single out the valve in question in a maze of corridors on the fourth floor.

Now give a thought to a nicely laid out digital drawing on the computer along with a report. Not only does the image give him a proper bearing of the place to visit, the report alongside gives him the type of valve, its make, where and when it was purchased, the last time it was overhauled and any other information that the hospital authorities deem fit to list.

A zoomed area of the place in question can be conveniently printed on A size sheet. In this case the plumber goes well prepared to the ‘site’ and finishes the job more efficiently and conveniently. The same principle can also be applied to other facilities such as HVAC, electrical, life safety equipment, and telecom equipment. The permutation and combinations are numerous and data mining can be made simple and comprehensive at the click of a button.
